"Anders’ dream.. It was so beautiful. I wanted it more than anything. I wanted it for him…

And I wanted it for you.”

Based on a comic by the lovely hawkeward. Some years after Kirkwall, Justice is all that Anders is, and Hawke is no longer needed.

Aubrey Hawke + Anders

you belong wherever you wish to be; but i would be most honored if where you wished to be was right here.

We are rebels in the light,
We won’t leave without a fight.

Anders + Aubrey Hawke. The stained glass windows have both of their backstories, which I worked really hard on to get right. I hope I did them justice.

Everytime I think about Hawke and Anders I love them more.

This is old (and part of a comic that probably doesn’t make sense out of context) but I have nothing else to post
p.s. why does it seem like the DA fandom doesn’t like Anders quite as much as I do

"Hawke, what—"
"I said I love you, and I meant it."
"But… after all this, how can you—"
"How can I not. Let’s go kick some Templar ass.”

"I lied. There is no potion."

I made another Hawke - this time, a Blood Mage named Aubrey. He was a Purple!Hawke - he chose all of the sarcastic/humourous dialogue choices. Of course, I romanced Anders again, but I think that Aubrey and Anders had a very different relationship than the relationship that my other Hawke, Avery, had with Anders.

Where Avery trusted Anders blindly, to the point of total ignorance, because he was so resolute in his belief that Anders was a "good" person, Aubrey was a little more realistic in his beliefs. Aubrey doesn't trust Anders, but he loves him anyway. He loves him because he's willing to go to the extremes for what he believes in - but he just doesn't want to think about the consequences of what might happen. He knows something is horribly wrong, but he's too scared of losing Anders to do anything. He deflects fear with humour, and unless you really knew him, you wouldn't know that anything was wrong with him.

This is a drawing of the end of the Act III "Justice" quest, where Anders plants a bomb finds a BALM for his soul in the Chantry.

Shadows settle on the place, that you left.
Our minds are troubled by the emptiness.
Destroy the middle, it's a waste of time.
From the perfect start to the finish line.

And if you're still breathing, you're the lucky ones.
'Cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.
Setting fire to our insides for fun
Collecting names of the lovers that went wrong
The lovers that went wrong.

We are the reckless,
We are the wild youth
Chasing visions of our futures
One day we'll reveal the truth
That one will die before he gets there.

And if you're still bleeding, you're the lucky ones.
'Cause most of our feelings, they are dead and they are gone.
We're setting fire to our insides for fun.
Collecting pictures from a flood that wrecked our home,
It was a flood that wrecked this home.

And you caused it.

Another Legacy DLC inspired drawing. I did Legacy with my Blood Mage, Aubrey, with Carver and Anders in my party. Last time, I didn't bring Bethany with me (because I admittedly don't care for her), but when I brought Carver with me the whole experience was wildly different and Aubrey and Carver's interactions were really heartbreaking. Almost as heartbreaking as poor Anders losing his mind.
Tumblr butchers the quality, as per usual.

now I should probably go back to work on something serious…

This started off as a piece I wanted to make look nice, but then I went to work and…it was too much. But! it was really fun to draw these two dorks. Love them both!
