Sorry, it got totally crazy. Also I have no idea if there is any established canon in regard to Ferrenly, so I just went with my own thing entirely. But, wow, this was nice to do! :D
A prompt by stormdragon, about Bann Ferrenly and Anders, and how Anders supposedly saved the man. Thank you so much for the prompt, love, it was a joy! <3
There was a story to accompany every escape he had found, every escape he had endured. On dark days, bound and caged in the tower despite bonds that may be employed or may not, he found himself thinking that at least he had stories - a great deal of them, in fact. Too many, if he was honest. But maybe he could pare them down or censor them a bit, tell them to children he might have, or to friends.
He tried not to realize the impossibility of these day dreams. They were there to brighten the darkness, after all, not cement it.
But one time, in a tavern and in a future he could never have imagined, in a city far away and under the lead of a man who seemed content to never betray him - to actually protect him, to defend him and to hide him, to help him even before they knew one another - he found himself unwittingly, unbelievably living out that old fairytale, that ancient daydream.
And he had such a good audience, too.
Oh, I do hope he was properly rewarded. And thank you for writing this. :D

Confession, the 1st fics I wrote that sorta had Anders abuse (technically he’s just tied up & imprisoned is that considered?) was of a society who consumed mage flesh & blood in hopes of gaining magic. The 2nd, a dude who experiments on mages.
As long as it’s exciting/unique not a-typical like i stated “templar silences rapes ad leaves anders” stuff it’s fine
Hating on character limits.
Truth be told I came up with those (but never finished), mostly because I was getting a tad bit tired of the whole evil mage and templars. Most fics I find usually use one or both as the villains. (Not all just most. Which is fine and okay but if I keep eating my favorite food, I’ll eventually get tired of it. I need some variety every now and then.)
I think dragon age could have used some more named non-templar and non-mage villains. Also some more named non-human villains too. That’s how I am an equal opportunity dude. (the dude who experiments on mages. Might be a bit cliche now that I think about it. I-will-find-a-way-to-rid-you-of-your-magic-without-sacrificing-your-identy-sort-of-experiments.)
Sorry, I am babbling again. I’ll go back under my rock now. /ignoremeplease

There’s no penalty for dropping out before the rough draft due date, but once tomorrow passes, you won’t be able to sign up to write for the first wave any more.
