I’m just sort of thinking out loud on Tumblr, right now. Some odd personal thoughts about the progression of Justice through the DA series.
Justice —> Vengeance —> Judgement
He begins as the spiritual essence of Justice.
He is corrupted by the mortal world and Anders into a force of Vengeance.
He is subsumed by the corruption, eventually distilled through Anders’ anger down to his core as an act of ultimate Judgement.
Because at that point, at the very end, at the point when Anders is going to blow up the Chantry, the act is not about retribution. It’s not about simple punishment. It’s not about targeting wrongdoers. It is an act that affects everyone. The decision of what is right and what is wrong has been made, and will be sent as a message to the world.
It is the act of passing down a Judgement.
And on Judgement Day, the lines are clearly drawn and you will be on one side, or the other.
Corker over at BSN compiled all the data of the entries of Dragon Age K!meme into nice little boxes. The ratios are interesting enough to be posted here, but I am sure no one is surprised at all at the outcome:
So, I had this feeling that Fenders was everywhere, in everything. But I asked myself, Self, are you just seeing Fenders everywhere? Bit of the old confirmation bias? Or remember when the DAO meme was all about all TEEGHAN, all the time, for two months? It was a blip, really. What do the numbers really say?
Slash with m!Hawke: 21.8% Slash with NPCs: 11% Total slash: 32.8% of the meme
So m/m slash pairings not involving Hawke make up only 11% of kink meme fills. This includes Anders/Fenris, Anders/Carver, Anders/Sebastian, Fenris/Sebastian, and whatever others I can’t think of right now. I feel comfortable saying that “too much Fenders” is not a legitimate complaint.
Welcome to episode 1 of ‘Neon can’t make up tattoo designs to save her life’
Meaning, there will be more. Like his back and a redo of probably the legs here.
So tired of making up new ones every time I draw him so this is my template lolol
So it glows then. There is a joke there but I shall refrain.
Between you and me, Lyth and I (or rather I do to poke at Lyth) call it the Lyrium Idol.
The things that come up in conversation, I will never know.
Oh, sure. She’s making fun of Fenris, but she completely forgot to mention that in retaliation, Anders and that area have been referred to as “The Taint” in our conversations since she started this “Lyrium Idol” business.
Also, totally follow the original link on this post. It has some Fenris nudity (and is therefore NSFW, guys), but those tattoos are amazing.
You two are murdering me. First “Lyrium Idol”, now “The Taint”. Now not only will I be associating the Idol with a certain elf’s privates, but I shall be associating a certain mage’s intimates with “The Taint”. Fitting and hilarious.
Just think of all the innuendo Fenris and Anders make. The other will be none the wiser to what their really talking about. At least until Isabela cracks their code.
I always imagined that Fenris would teach Anders how to properly speak (if he can’t) Tevinter for the purposes of talking dirty to each other while in the presence of their companions. Not even Isabela can crack that code, unless she learns Tevinter.
I’ve had a few weeks to get my thoughts sorted now, and I want to write a long rambly post about Mark of the Assassin.
Everyone cool with that?
I have problems with Tallis. I want to get that clear right at the start of things. This might come off as a Tallis hate-fest in a lot of ways. I went into this actively trying to like her, and it’s actually pretty disappointing that I’ve failed. I don’t hate her, I hate some of the ways she was portrayed. I still want to like her, and maybe if we learn more about her, I’ll still be able to.
Lengthy spoileriffic rant under the cut.
I mean that. Ranting, rambling, and lots of feels.
And that sums up everything I feel about Tallis. From her introduction that lied to me. (Tallis is always the first to fall in any fight.) To her tactless banter with my beloved companions especially my precious Anders.
All my Hawkes (minus one) didn’t flirt with her. It was indeed a slap in the face when Varric pretty much suggest they wanted to shag her, because no they did not (except that one).
In my personal opinion, the DLC would less frustrating if she was just a guest character (or whatever you call an uncontrollable follower that don’t die) and not a companion. I could have brought Varric instead, or Aveline.
THEY WILL BE SAFE WITH US AND ARE TO BE TREATED AS OUR EQUALS! OUR FUZZY COMPANIONS! AND EACH SHALL RECEIVE A PROPER NAME LIKE SERRAH FLUFFIKINS! ALL WILL BE PROVIDED WITH BOOTS AND JINGLY LITTLE BELL COLLARS!
Might as well say yes now Hawke. Else he’s just going to pout and sulk until you do.
I need to romance that boy. I need to do it. I’ve got Fenris and Sebastian under my belt (hohoho) but I’m having such a hard time getting around my hangups about Anders, specifically his big boo boo in Act III. How is Hawke supposed to forgive him for that?
Tell me how…
Never stop writing those enlightening walls of text, katiebour. I love reading them.
ANDERS: Yes… but I did it anyway, and now the Coterie has an IOU for my right ear.
Dammit, Anders, stop playing cards. You owe Fenris all your panties and body parts to the Coterie. Know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.
Or in your case just fold ‘em.
I am not sure, if I liking the mental images of Anders wearing panties.
But as for the clip, hilarious thou my initial reaction was. What are you doing betting body parts. You know Hawke owes that body. (Hence his ears are safe my dear Hawkes are the possessive type especially the women)
